On 24th, Flipkart said the company will deploy 25,000+ eclectic vehicles in the next 10 years as Walmart aims to achieve 100% transition to eclectic mobility by 2030.
Flipkart has already partnered with major electric vehicle manufacturers in India, including industry leaders like Hero Electric, Mahindra Electric & Piaggio to build delivery fleets across the nation.
Last year, Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos pledged to depoy 10,000 electric vehicles in India by 2025. And recently, the american e-commerce giant partherd with Mahinda Electric to build 100 electric three-wheelers.
Electrification of the logistics fleet is a key part of Flipkart’s larger sustainability goal and in line with our commitment to the Climate Group’s EV100 initiative,” said Amitesh Jha, SVP of Ekart and Marketplace at Flipkart.
Flipkart mentioned that their electric fleet would comprise of two-wheelers, three-wheelers & four-wheelers & all of these will be designed & assembled in India.
